Is this just another shared drive?
No. Storage holds files. The DSS build adds source authority, freshness, sensitivity, review status, retrieval structure, proof testing, and a maintenance process around the approved material.
Do we need special software?
Not necessarily. DSS starts with the smallest maintainable architecture that fits your systems, users, and restrictions. The knowledge layer should remain client-owned and portable.
Can we upload everything at once?
The first build is deliberately bounded. We begin with one business lane and one approved source set so usefulness and control can be proven before broader migration.
Does every AI project need this first?
No. If the required context is already organized and the target workflow is narrow, DSS may recommend moving directly into AI Concierge. We build the knowledge base when scattered or untrusted context is the real constraint.
Will AI update trusted company knowledge automatically?
No. New information can be organized into proposed updates, but a designated human accepts, revises, rejects, or defers it before it becomes trusted.
